SHATTUCK ANNOUNCES IC CHAMPIONS
Air Force Named 2007-2008 University Touring Squad League Champions! The last Intercollegiate Meet of the season took place at the Denver Athletic Club on April 12, where the Air Force Academy (coached by Dr. Adrian Won) took first place. The team will get to keep the Silver League Champion Plate until the conclusion of the 2008-2009 season -- if/when another champion is declared. Congratulations AFA!

The intercollegiate program was developed by professional clinician and top-ranked WPRO tour regular Jo Shattuck, who hosts the intercollegiate program schedules, results and photos on her RacquetballAcademy.com site. More details are also available here, under the "programs" tab > Intercollegiate.
HERNANDEZ TAPPED FOR SCHOLARSHIP
Kevin Hernandez was recently selected to receive the 2008 CRA Scholarship Award, after submitting an application earlier in the year, and outlining his plans to begin college at CSU/Pueblo in the fall.

A member of the CRA Junior Team, Kevin has represented the state at National events, and offers an occasional clinic to players at the Fort Carson and Peterson AFB facilities in Colorado Springs. His goal is to become one of the top pros on tour and considers racquetball to be "the greatest sport ever created!"

Hernandez plays or practices 15-25 hours a week, and has developed a quiet temperament and precision on the court. With his father deployed to Iraq, it's one of several activities -- along with running and tennis -- that keep him occupied. "Racquetball has helped me, with my father being deployed for the last couple of years" he said, "to become the man that I am."

Congratulations to Kevin for his CRA scholarship award, along with all of our best wishes for his sucess in the fall, and beyond.
CALLING SPONSORED PLAYERS
The CRA maintains a state directory of sponsored players, to give visibility to designated manufacturer reps and enable interested consumers to contact the reps to try out the latest equipment, or schedule a clinic or demo night at their club.

If you're a sponsored player, send an email with your affiliation and public contact information (email & phone). We'll list you on the CRA website, under the programs > Instruction & Play Testing tab.
